William Dennis Dumont, 65, passed away New Year's Day, January 1, 2015. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Neary) Dumont of Campbell, CA, daughter Renee (Dumont) Lashinsky of Arvada, CO, son Bryce Dumont of Exeter in the United Kingdom, grandchildren Tysen Lashinsky, Sierra Lashinsky, Xylia Dumont and Felix Dumont, nephew Marcus Passama, and many other nieces and nephews.
Bill had a kind, loving, gently soul, with a great passion for genealogy. He taught a genealogy course "Heritage Seekers" at the Campbell Community Center after retiring as an IT Systems Analyst for AT & T / Lucent / IBM, where he worked for 35 years. He was also involved in Boy Scouts, acting as a scout Leader for his son Bryce's troop 330 for many years.
Bill was born January 27, 1949 in San Francisco, CA to Robert and Margaret Dumont. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Daly City, and obtained his Bachelors of Science from San Francisco State University. He married his high school sweetheart Kathy in 1970 and the two relocated to Campbell, CA where they lived together for almost 43 years.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, January 10th at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery at 1500 Mission Road, Colma, CA 94014. All are welcome to attend.
