Obituary
Wilda Marie Smith, age 85, passed away on the morning of Tuesday March 24, 2015 after weeks of progressively failing health.
Wilda is survived by her daughter Charlene and son in law John Giancola, her grandchildren Benjamin Sr., Shelley, Jim Giancola and Christina Richardson, her great grandchildren Benjamin Jr., Vanessa, Shelby Giancola, Tyler Kendall and James Richardson, her brother Marvin Boatright of Lindale, TX, and sisters Julie Daffern of Las Vegas, NV, Marry Pullen of Sun Valley, Ca, and Effie Donabauer of Wenatchee, Wa.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thaine Smith, son Thornton Smith, brother Ralph Boatright and sister Shirley Boatright.
Wilda was born on December 8th, 1929 in Ava, Missouri and eventually became a longtime resident of Gilroy, Ca. She was active in PEO and FRFG Book and Study Club and was a former volunteer at St. Louise Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, reading, listening to opera and especially loved spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A funeral is scheduled for Wilda on Monday March 30th at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy, CA. at 1pm with a reception to follow at her daughter's home.
