Virginia, 82, of San Jose, passed away on February 6, 2016. She is survived by her longtime companion Jim Glancey; her children Bob (Jene) Bastian, Debby (Jose Espana) Bastian, Tom (Paula) Bastian; Grandchildren, Robert, Stephen, Brett, Joseph and Michael Bastian; Great Grandchildren, Pheonix and Robert Bastian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bastian.

Virginia was born and raised in Indiana where she got married and started her family. She and Robert moved to California in 1962, where she continued to raise her family. The family moved to Gilroy in the late 60's, where they owned and operated a prune orchard. She eventually took a job with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department, a job that she loved.

She loved her cruises, travel and reading. She also loved doing her needlepoint. Virginia also took great pride in her role as a clergy spouse in the United Methodist Church.

Virginia was lucky enough to find her companion Jim, later in life. They met at the Carlton Plaza where they were roommates. They moved out of the Carlton Plaza and into Jim's home, where they enjoyed their time together.

She will be dearly missed by all the lives that she touched.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
