Victor Herrera passed away on June 1, 2012, at the age of 95 after a long illness. Victor Herrera relocated to Gilroy with his family in 1965 from Texas.

Victor leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Celia Coliz Herrera.

Once Victor retired from Gilroy Foods he was able to devote all his time to his true passion of agricultural farming.

He is survived by his children Maria Salamanca and Tina De La Cruz from Texas, Hector C. Herrera from Idaho, Elva Hill from Gilroy, Zeke C. Herrera from Gilroy, Eva Lopez from Gilroy, Victor M. Herrera from Hollister and Leticia Herrera from Gilroy.

He is survived by his grandchildren Carlos, David, Jaime, and Andrea De La Cruz all from Texas, Marisol, Michelle, and Christopher Herrera, Pete and Paul Hill, Andrea Espinosa, Angelica Herrera-Martinez, Elizabeth, Priscilla, and Robert Pena Jr. from Gilroy, Cailey, Ethan, and Maya Herrera from Hollister, Britnie, Devin and Ashton Vance from Gilroy. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his grandson Hector E. Herrera and sons-in-law Robert Pena and Leo De La Cruz. Visitation will begin 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 7th, 2012 followed by a sharing service at 11:00 A.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Mass will follow at 12:00 noon at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Gilroy. Interment at Saint Mary Cemetery.
