Victor Angel Marquez was a long-time resident of San Martin, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy. He was born in Lima, Peru on February 24,1921. He moved to the United States in the late 1940s and settled in San Francisco where he met his wife, Celia. They were married until her death in 2019. They started their family in San Francisco before moving to Santa Clara. He started his cabinet business called Woodcraft Manufacturing in Morgan Hill. And later expanded the business to San Martin and Gilroy. He worked there until he retired in the early 1980s.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife. Some of his trips included, Mexico, Peru, Spain, France, Portugal, and many trips to Nevada.

He leaves behind four children: Victor and his wife Emma, Celia, Cathy and her husband Bob, John, and his wife Nora. Also, he leaves behind many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Victor A. Marquez died peacefully on July 12th at the age of 102.

A viewing will begin at Habing Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19th at 5 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at St Mary Church, Gilroy on Thursday, July 20th at 10 am.
