IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Valerie Lynn
Boeck
March 21, 1957 – January 18, 2025
Valerie Lynn Boeck passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, in Gilroy, California.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nichole Lynn Ave-Lallemant (Nathan), and her cherished grandchildren Freyja, Taijen, Makiah, Amira, and Davion, along with many beloved bonus grandchildren. Valerie is also survived by her siblings John Boeck (Margaret), Debbie Klindworth (Joe), Katherine James (Danny), Paul Boeck (Renee), and William Boeck. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Valerie now joins her parents, Otis and Lois Boeck, who preceded her in passing.
An independent single mother, Valerie pursued higher education at St. John's College and Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin. She dedicated her life to serving God as a parish worker in Des Moines, Iowa, where she faithfully served for 34 years.
Valerie had a playful spirit and a knack for bringing joy to those around her. She would proudly claim victory in games of Sorry—where she insisted she never cheated—and could often be heard singing whimsical songs at all hours of the day. She delighted in spending time with close friends at concerts and casinos and made it a point to check in regularly with loved ones through heartfelt phone calls. Her warmth extended even to animals; every dog she met seemed to adore her instantly—sometimes even more than their owners. She absolutely loved a plate of riblets and a Pepsi.
May Valerie's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
