Valerie died peacefully at home at the age of 69 with her husband, life time soul mate and partner, Gary, from complications of Multiple Sclerosis which she had for 40 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Gary H. Batchelder; Daughters, Julie Moody and Cindy (Jerry) Fellows; Sisters Alex (Rick) Gannon and Phoebe (Tom) Goold; Brother, Dino (Karen) Copetas; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) Duncan, Gary Little, Valerie and Pamela-Jean Fellows; Great-Grandchildren, Aydin Cutler and Jon Duncan; Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews , extended family and many friends.

During her life she worked with her husband for 50 years as well as working for JC Penney's, Gavilan College until her medical retirement in the mid 1980's.

Her family is grateful for all who cared and loved her.

Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth Street, Gilroy, CA.
