Tomas Rodriguez Martinez, 76, born on March 7, 1945 in Juarez, Mexico. Entered into rest on March 20, 2021 in Gilroy, CA, with his loving family by his side. He joins his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his parents, Jose and Consuelo Martinez, his brother Jesus, his sister Elda, and his granddaughter Maya.

He was a loving son, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, brother, cousin and friend. Above all, Tomas treasured his surviving children: Martha (Ricardo), Connie (Raul), Tom, Tim (Maira), Suzanne (Mario).  He was blessed with his beloved grandchildren: Martita, Ricardo, Xavier, Rachelle, Raul, Raymond, Melissa, Joseph, Fabian, Matthew, Mariah, James, Joey, Bella, Mario and his great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Naveah, Kaleah, Greg, Roman, Andre, Olivia, Inez, Aubree, Savannah, Isaac. He is  also survived by his siblings: Esperanza, Raul, Efren, Joel, Egla, Jose, Samuel, Jaime, Sandra, and Ruben.

Tomas moved to Gilroy in the 50's and worked as a laborer for the local 270 for over 20 years.   Despite a stroke at age 50, he never let his disability keep him from doing the things he loved the most; dancing, gardening, listening to Ramon Ayala, singing along and occasionally belting out a whoop and holler.. His favorite phrases were "Aye carambas" and "CORAZON". He lived life to the fullest. Even after his stroke, you would often see him in downtown Hollister, riding his black or silver bike with the biggest brightest smile. Tomas will be missed dearly by all. He was an amazing, loving, and caring person who touched many lives.
