Obituary

Tiffany Nicole Comento, 26, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on June 25, 2025.

Born in Gilroy, California, Tiffany graduated from Christopher High School in 2016. She attended Gavilan College before transferring to Fresno State University. After returning home, she began working as a server at Applebee's in Gilroy, where her kindness and humor shone through to coworkers and guests alike.

While attending Gavilan, Tiffany met the love of her life, Zachary Jenkins. For the next seven years, they built a life together, sharing a home in Gilroy with their five cats and a dog. Tiffany's love for animals—especially cats—was one of her defining traits. She adopted three cats over the years, and when two feral cats bonded with her while she was living in Fresno, she made sure they came home with her rather than leaving them behind.

Tiffany was patient, kind, and loved without judgment. She had an infectious smile and a wicked sense of humor. She enjoyed playing online video games with friends near and far, and she loved Western line dancing—often dancing at Old City Hall every week.

She is survived by her father, Joe Comento; aunt, Maryann Robinson; cousins Colby (and her baby Austyn Lane) and Carson Robinson; grandmother, Norma Conard; grandfather, Sam Comento; her fiancé, Zac Jenkins; her best friends, Aaron Duarte and Maxine Schmidt, and Maxine's children, Destiny and Kendrick; her mother, Jayne Kaye-Comento; and numerous cousins and extended family members. Tiffany was preceded in death by her grandfather Butch Conard; great-aunt Dee Pheasant; and her maternal grandparents, Dan and Joanne Kaye.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Paine's Restaurant in Hollister. Guests are invited to honor Tiffany by wearing her favorite colors—teal or pink—or clothing with cactus or succulent prints, which she loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tiffany's memory to FOSMAS (Friends of the San Martin Animal Shelter) to help fund veterinary care for stray cats. To donate, visit https://fosmas.org/donate.html.

Tiffany's life was filled with love, laughter, and kindness. Her light touched many, and she will be deeply missed.
