Tom was born in Schenectady, New York on August 10, 1954 and passed away at home surrounded by loved ones after a brave battle with cancer on October 10, 2022.

Tom is survived by his mother Adrienne Karis of Scotia, New York, his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth "Sam" Karis of Aromas, CA, sons Dylan Wilson (Tiffany) of Salt Lake City, UT, Omar Moreno of Gilroy, CA, grandsons Sephiroth and Osiris of Salt Lake City, UT, brother Kevin (Theresa) of Denver, CO and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his father Raymond Karis.

Tom worked for many years in Silicon Valley, starting with IBM and after retirement his own consulting company in the field of Tribology.

Tom Enjoyed camping and fishing trips with his wife.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
