IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Teresa
Castaneda
April 19, 1962 – January 12, 2023
Teresa was surrounded in her last moments with love, comfort, and care from her children and
her loving family.
After the unexpected loss of her husband Jimmy and her brave battle of cancer she fought
these last 2 years. She now rejoins with her loved ones, her parents Margarito and Olga
Campos, her brother Johnny Campos, and her beloved husband Jimmy Castaneda.
Teresa was born in San Jose, California and was raised in Morgan Hill. Where she had met the
love of her life, Jimmy. She used to share stories that he would drive from Gilroy to Morgan Hill
and pick her up from high school, where she felt like the luckiest girl.
Teresa and her husband moved out to Gilroy, Ca where they made a life of their own out on
Frazier Lake Ranch and they raised 3 children over the last 44 years.
Serina, Jimmy Jr. and Joseph Castaneda.
Having the chance to watch their 6 grandchildren grow up on the same ranch their kids did.
Alexis, Mikayla, Jimmy lll, April, Nicholas, and Emma J. Teresa's children and grandchildren
were the pride and joy of her life.
Any time you went to the ranch Teresa made sure you left on a full stomach and if you didn't
leave on a full stomach, she made sure to send you home with food to go.
She was well known for her famous menudo, macaroni salad, and her sub sandwiches. Of
course, with her secret ingredient of love, you can taste it in almost every bite.
That was one thing she loved the most. Hosting company and filling them up with delicious
food and love.
A real life Mother Teresa. Always had a smile on her face taking care of others, despite anything
she was going through.
If she wasn't cooking, then she was getting down and dancing to James Brown with a beer in
her hand. At the casino, in the kitchen, with her sisters, or alone, she was always there opening
up her home.
Teresa loved to have her morning coffee, following up with a girls day, shopping around,
getting manicures and pedicures, sitting passenger while her man drove her around as she
sipped on her Budweiser as they went to spend time at the casino.
She truly lived life to the fullest.
Teresa was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend.
She was a strong, brave, beautiful, nurturing, caring soul. A soul with energy truly like no
others.
Teresa will always be remembered by her infectious love. She will be deeply missed.
She will be missed by her loving by siblings and in-laws Johnny Campos
