Sylvia Aragon Hayton of Gilroy CA. has gone to be with her Lord unexpectedly on April 30 2014. Sylvia was born to Alberto and Cecilia Aragon in Santa Rosa, New Mexico on May 11, 1928 .

Sylvia and her husband Ken were getting ready to celebrate their Golden Anniversary.  She raised three children Randy, Darren, and Rhonda Monahan. Her family grew with the addition of a loving son in-law Steve Monahan and loving daughter in-laws, Michelle and Cheryl Hayton.

Sylvia was a beloved Grandma to Rachelle, Katherine , Anthony Bristina, Emily, Justin, Tori, Joshua, Tiffany and Jaycie.

Sylvia came to California from New Mexico in the 1940's. Accompanied by her parents, brothers and sisters: Vaye, Julian, Linda Chris, Martha, Patricia and Richard

Sylvia was a devout Catholic attending Mass on a regular basis with her loving husband Ken. She is missed by all who knew and loved her.

Viewing will be on Monday, May 12, from 2 -7pm at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4 ^th St., Gilroy, CA with her Rosary service beginning at 7 pm. Mass will be on Tuesday, May 13, at 10am at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Gilroy. Graveside service will follow the mass at 2 pm at San Joaquin National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA.
