Steve Charles Mitchell, 73 , of Gilroy,Ca. passed away on April 20,2017 at his home.

Steve was born Sept.29,1943 to Maurice and Marion (Sturla) Mitchell. Steve is survived by his wife Georgia of 53 years, sons Ron and Scott, grandchildren Dusty, Danielle, Paul, Teddy,  sister Connie (Joe) Blundo, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Steve worked at Baxter Tire Service for 40 years, he owned it for 15 , until he retired. He was one of the funniest, most creative, loving guys. His door was always open to everyone.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends camping, fishing, cooking, having a good time, enjoying a drink or two. He also loved carpentry, repairing cars, constructing and building things. He could fix or build anything. What he really loved to do was help people, he helped many people all throughout his lifetime. Steve was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all. Steve will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, 8455 Wren Avenue, Gilroy.
