Socorro Angulo Moraga was born on April 9, 1940 in Durango Mexico. Lived in Los Mochis Sinaloa where she married Joseph Charles Moraga and had her eight children. The family moved to Gilroy California in 1980. She passed away peacefully after a short, courageous battle with lung cancer on Saturday, January 8th, 2011 in Gilroy. A Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend. Socorro is survived by her 8 beloved children, Yvon Hernandez and husband Victor, Daniel Moraga, Saida Moraga, Monica DeHaro and husband Juan, Jose Moraga and wife Maria, Sandra Moraga and husband Zeke, Marcos Moraga, Maria Foster and husband Brian and her 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also survived by her family Aguilar-Reyes from Los Mochis, Sinaloa. She was a home health aid for the elderly for 25 years in Gilroy. She loved to garden and spend all her free time with her children, grandkids and playing bingo. She was our first true love, our best friend and our rock. We Love you and miss you so very much Mamasita Chula. Rest In Peace.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2011 with the Rosary following at 7:00 PM, both at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 11 First Street, Gilroy on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 900 First Street, Gilroy.
