Silver Perez, 62, was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 3, 1953 to Eustacio and Melida Perez. He was called home to rest on March 7, 2016.

At the age of 14, Silver and his parents moved to California and settled in Gilroy, which is where he lived most of his life. He spent the majority of his working years as an Auto parts specialist and supervisor for Pep Boys and Napa Auto Parts. He would later change his interests to working in manufacturing at various companies in the South Bay, area. His hobbies were classic cars and motorcycles, that would later evolve into a love for bicycles. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing horseshoes. Silver also had a passion for music, and was a self- taught musician who found joy in playing the guitar and the accordion. He adored all of his grandchildren and was a great friend to so many. He will truly be missed.

Silver is survived by the mother of their five children; Isabel Gonzales. His children; Veronica Perez, Daniel Perez, Lorraine Perez Gutierrez, and Diana Perez Garcia. He is also survived by his son-in- laws; Virgil Huston, Joe Garcia, and Chris Gutierrez, as well as his daughter-in-law; Sandra Sandez. He is survived by his nieces; Frances, Crystal, and Lisa and his nephew James Perez Jr. He is survived by his grandchildren; Isaiah and Reyna Huston, Ezra Lopez, Angel Garcia, Elijah, Larissa, and Jolissa LaRocca, Leanne Gonzales, John, Anthony, Katrina, Serena and Amaziah Gutierrez, as well as Destiny, Zsana, and Eviana Perez and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Eustacio Perez, his mother Melida Perez, his son Silver Perez Jr and his brother James Perez.

A Memorial Service will be held at Habing Family Funeral Home on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 12:00 PM, followed by an inurnment service at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.
