Shuichi
Sato
November 22, 1939 – January 10, 2017
Dr. Shuichi Sato passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2017 at his home in Gilroy, CA. He leaves a legacy of being an innovator and inventor in the semiconductor world.
Born in Okayama Japan, he graduated from Gakushuin University with a Ph.D. in Physics. He started his career working for the Electrical Engineering Department at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has filed for numerous patents and published numerous research papers throughout his career.
Shuichi loved his dogs especially Shiro and Koro. He has also taken in stranded cats to his home. He enjoyed playing golf and great wines although he didn't drink much.
Shuichi is survived by his wife Mariko (Morita) and two daughters from previous marriage.
A funeral service was held on January 13th, 2017.
The Sato family has asked that anyone wishing to honor Shuichi to do so in his name by contributing to ASPCA.
