Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Donald E. Vanni, on September 12, 1964. They built their home and raised their family in Mountain View, CA before moving to Gilroy, CA in the fall of 1985. She began her employment at El Camino Hospital as a bookkeeper. She then moved into the family business, Vanni Nursery, where she watched every penny.
She and Don had a vibrant and fulfilling life together. She enjoyed her family, getting together with friends, traveling the world and helping those in need, both with time and as a prayer warrior. She loved camping, boating (water skiing), spending time at their cabin, and long drives with Don. She was actively involved with all nine of her grandchildren and her two great grandchildren. She would never miss any event, no matter how small.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Donald Vanni, her three children Chris (Jill) Vanni, Elissa (Cary) Lane, and Paul (Raquel) Vanni, her nine grandchildren Michaela (Eduardo) Mercado, Natalia Vanni, Carissa (Tyler) Menard, Juliana (Kevin) Trejo, Jesslyn Lane, Nicholas (Carmen) Vanni, Olivia Vanni, Gianluca Vanni, Amelia Vanni, and her three great grandchildren Alessandro Mercardo, Mateo Mercado, Luca Mercado, and her siblings Darlene (Alex) Young and Guy England.
