Scott Lee Irwin, born on June 18, 1962, in Smith Center, Kansas, passed away suddenly on July 9, 2026, in Gilroy, California. He was 64 years old. Scott’s life was marked by his dedication to his family and a long-standing career that showcased his hard work and commitment.

Scott began his professional journey in hazardous waste drilling before transitioning into the HVAC industry. For 29 years, he worked as an HVAC Service Technician at Therma, where he built a reputation for his expertise and reliability. His career reflected his steadfast work ethic and his ability to tackle new challenges head on.

In August of 1988, Scott met Michelle, and they soon fell in love. They married on April 28, 1990, embarking on a partnership that spanned 34 years. Together they built a life filled with love and shared experiences. They’ve had life challenges along the way but always managed to persevere. On March 3, 2001, they welcomed their daughter Kendall into the world–a moment that brought immense joy to their lives.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife Michelle Irwin; His cherished daughter Kendall Irwin; and his brother Steve Irwin. He was predeceased by his son Trevor Scott Irwin and his parents Edna Mae Irwin and Myrl Eugene Irwin.

Scott’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 1,2026, at 12:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home. Reception immediately following service at the I.F.D.E.S. Lodge of Gilroy(Portuguese Hall), 250 Old Gilroy Ave, Gilroy CA.
