In loving memory of our dad, Samuel Brizuela.
He was our father, our friend, our brother, and the shoulder we could always lean on. He was a charismatic man who loved the company of people. He could always be found having conversations with family, friends, and even strangers. He loved to communicate with others and never shied away from speaking his mind, no matter the subject.
Music was a big part of who he was. You could always hear him singing Chente songs throughout the house, especially in the shower. His voice filled every room, but nothing compared to when he sang “Happy Birthday.” You could hear the love and soul in every note.
As a father, he was incredibly loving and protective. He treasured us more than anything. He always made sure to speak with our teachers, checking in and making sure we were doing well. That was his way of showing how much he cared about our future. The security he tried to give us and the love he showed will stay with us forever.
He found happiness in the simplest things — a bucket of KFC, riding around on his bike, or just enjoying the moment. He didn’t need much and never asked for more. He lived a simple life and was content with what he had.
We will always hold onto the beautiful memories we shared with him. We hope he can rest peacefully knowing that everything he taught us lives on, and that we will continue to make him proud.
