Obituary

July 20, 2013 was the day mom and dad went to be with the Lord.

The first time our parents met was when our oldest sister of the age of 3 stole a slice of bread from our dad's lunch bag. Mom was a single mother of 3 and from there they went on to have 10 children of their own. Our father was a farm worker for over 55 years. Our mother was a wonderful loving house wife that was there for all of us. We are truly going to miss them.

Once our father retired due to a back injury, he started his own garden growing, a variety of fruits and vegetables. He loved working in his garden daily. Did not matter rain or shine he was there tending to his Chilies. He was so proud of his garden. He would share his small crops with his family and even his neighbors benefited from his fresh peaches and tomatoes. Our father was, is a good man!

Our mother loved to enjoy a good cup of hot coffee with her sweet bread. Her face would away light up when any of her children visited. She truly was a loving mother. She took care of dad the best she could even though she was in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Her dogs, Peewee and Mono were always there to greet her in the morning. One thing that we will miss is when anyone visited and they were leaving she would always bless them with the sign of the cross.

Our parents leave behind to cherish their memories, Daughters, Gloria Hernandez of Visalia, CA; Gracie Mizell of Cutler, CA; Marylou Lerma of Los Banos, CA; Rebecca Granados of San Jose, CA; Lydia Granados of New Mexico. Sons, Robert Granados & Salvador Granados of Dos Palos, CA; Eddie Granados from Ion, CA; Danny Granados & Louie Granados or Gilroy, CA; Hector Granados of Livingston, CA. They also leave 38 Grandchildren, 86 Great-Grandchildren and 16 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Our Father leaves behind his brother Roberto Granados of Gilroy, CA and Sister, Elena Garcia Granados of Mexico.
Preceded in death are there sons, Gonzalo (Joe) Gonzales and Anthony (Tony) Martinez.
