On May 14th, 2014, Ruth Ann Dunn, age 63, passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones after a courageous fight against cancer. Ruth was born on March 10th , 1951 in Bakersfield, Ca to Brooks and Mattie Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Kenneth Dunn. She is survived by two of her four siblings, her three daughters, Kimberley Nores, Lisa Kulczewki, and Lora Hernandez and 7 grandchildren. She is also survived by her partner of 8 years, Alan Della Maggiore. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in god, and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through 20 months of grueling chemotherapy. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the hearts and trust of many, who even now are being changed by their witness of her constant nurturing love and faith.


A memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 28th at 2:00pm at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd 1735 Hecker Pass Rd, Gilroy Ca, 95020. Ruth's wishes are that people wear bright, festive colors!
