Rosita Aida "Rosie" Anzualda passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, in San Jose, California at Kaiser Hospital. Born on June 24, 1959, in Edinburgh, Texas, but lived in Gilroy, California most of her life. Rosie lived a life dedicated to service, faith, and the joy of shared experiences with loved ones.
Rosie pursued her passion for children by earning an Associate of Arts degree in early childhood development from Gavilan College. Her career was marked by decades of dedication to the special needs community. Rosie worked for the City of Gilroy in the Parks and Recreation department for 20 years before continuing her service at Gavilan College for another 20 years. There she contributed to many departments with unwavering commitment before she retired in 2024 after a lifetime of hard work and devotion to the community.
Beyond her professional life, Rosie found joy in creativity and adventure. She loved making earrings, had a cherished collection of bears, and fishing was another favorite pastime. But one of her most treasured experiences was fulfilling a dream by taking a cruise to Alaska. She also, visited Southern California repeatedly to stay in Cambria and visit Hearst Castle. But Rosie always had a unwavering love for travelling and the ocean. Rosie had a fondness for shopping and indulging in meals at Taco Bell. Moreover, she valued time spent with her family and friends.
Rosie's faith in Jesus played a significant role in her life. A devoted Christian, she deeply loved Legacy Church in Hollister. She attended Legacy Church for 25 years. There she developed many friendships that turned into a second family. Rosie proudly wore her Legacy band no matter what she went thru. She always encouraged veveryone around her to join in worship.
Rosie, is survived by her mother, Maria Anzualda; sister Ruth Pacheco; and brother Raymond Anzualda. Including her three nieces Maria Beltran, Ruthie Pacheco, Erica Luna and all her many great nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by their father, Ramon Anzualda, and younger sister Mary Anzualda.

Rosie's memory will live on through the lives she touched with kindness, humility and faith in Jesus. May those who knew her find comfort in the love they shared and the radiance of her smile that she left behind.
