Rose went home to be with her Husband, Louie Gomez Sr., Daughter, Linda Gomez Contreras, and Son, Louie Gomez Jr. She was also preceded in death by her sister Mary and brother Joe Lopez. Rose was 83 years old, she passed away peacefully on Dec 25th due to cancer. Rose will forever be remembered by her Daughter Debbie Gomez, her siblings Fernando, Lupe and Rudy Lopez. Grandchildren: Danny Gomez, Diana Sanchez Hardamon, Robert, Alfredo Contreras, Ray, Paul and Mike Musquez, Vera, Conrad and Lee Gomez. Great Grandchildren: Mariah & Starlene Gomez, Delinda Hardamon, Marissa and Angelina Contreras, Louie, Ray, Julian, Marisa, Delilah, Isaac, Josalyn Musquez, Nathaniel Gomez, Marcus Scott,Valeria, Isabella and Samuel Gomez. Rose was born in El Paso Texas in 1928 and her family moved and settled in Gilroy in 1938. She met and married Louie Gomez Sr. in 1946. Rose worked most of her life at various jobs, the longest employment was at The Salvation Army store as an Assistant manager. Rose (Tata, Ama, Ma) was the strongest woman we knew. She loved spending time with her family, they were her whole life. She will be missed by all BUT never forgotten. Special Thank you for all the prayers and the Love that was shown to her while she was hospitalized at Saint Louise and Gilroy Health Care. Very special Thank you to her caregiver Josie.
Graveside services will be held at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park at 1:00pm on Wednesday December 28th. There will NOT be a reception. Family would appreciate their privacy.
In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations made to Hospice of the Valley or American Cancer Society.
