Rosanne, known to many as Rosie, passed away peacefully on February 24 ^th , 2022, after a sudden illness.

Rosie was born in Oakland on December 18, 1935, to Henry and Hazel Shy.  Rosie was one of three children who were raised in Gilroy.  John and Rosie married in 1969 and enjoyed many years together.  She is preceded in death by her husband, John Richardson, and survived by her two daughters Kim Herrera and Darbie Ricotti, grandchild Mashawn Ensz (Don), and great-grandchildren Courtney Herrera and Preston Ensz.

Rosie and John enjoyed spending time with family, entertaining friends, and road trips in their RV.  Rosie always loved her puppies and kitties with a special fondness for her cocker spaniels and her cat, Cali.

Rosie loved her sisters and had life-long friendships with both, Dora Jean Enos (Ed) and Maralee Hunsdorfer (Art, deceased).  She also leaves behind four nieces, a nephew, and their families.

She was a social butterfly and loved spending time with her Ladybug Club and Bible Study Group.  She leaves behind many close neighborhood friends and will be missed by all.

Rosie's final wish was to be cremated and to have a private service for immediate family.  If you would like to remember Rosie, her family asks that you donate to your local animal rescue in her name.
