IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosa Torres
Vargas De Muro
October 8, 1925 – December 9, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rosa Vargas Torres de Muro, who left us peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.
Rosa was a dedicated homemaker who poured her heart and soul into caring for her family. Her greatest joy was nurturing her children and later her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was the heart of our home, creating a sanctuary of warmth, love, and delicious meals.
A devoted Catholic, Rosa lived her faith through her actions, sharing kindness, compassion, and selflessness with everyone she met. Her strong faith was a guiding light in her life, bringing comfort and hope to her and those around her.
Known to her children's friends for her fresh, handmade tortillas and her ever-welcoming spirit, Rosa was a second mother to many. Her generosity, patience, and boundless love touched everyone who crossed her threshold.
Rosa leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her 11 children: Rita (Pablo) Gutierrez, Roberto (Lupe), Rufino (Teresa), David (Ursula), Catalina (Cathy)(George) Sotelo, Armando (Sylvia), James (Molly), Manuel (Lettie), John (Brenda), Rosie (Leo) Martinez, Ofelia Muro. 39 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren who will forever hold her in their hearts.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 80 years, Manuel Muro (2024), children Rudolfo Muro (1951), Ofelia Maria Muro(1969), and Gilbert Daniel Muro (1992), as well as her parents and siblings.
Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, faith, and the joy of sharing meals and moments of kindness. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
