Ronald Francis Paolucci passed peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2016. He was born on April 18, 1943 in Newark, New Jersey.
Ron and his wife, Carol, moved to Morgan Hill in 1976 where they raised their two children, Brett and Brooke. In 1978, he started Paolucci Construction building custom homes in Morgan Hill and surrounding areas. He had a passion for basketball and coached the Live Oak Girls JV Basketball Team in the 1980's and the Live Oak Boys Basketball Summer League Team in 1991. From a young age, he had a knack for being under the hood of a car. He enjoyed at least 65 cars in his lifetime including a 1955 Chevy, a 1957 Chevy, a 1963 Corvette, two 1969 Chevy Camaros, and a 1940's Ford Woody just to name a few. If you couldn't find him cruising El Camino on a Sunday, guaranteed he was at the Half Moon Bay Drag Strip racin' the '55.
Ron is survived by Carol, son Brett Paolucci (Patti), daughter Brooke Martinez (Michael), grandchildren Bennett, Kellan and Quinn Paolucci, brother Jack Paolucci (Mary) of Oceanside, CA, sister Marilyn Kilbourne (Marvin) of Tyler, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Proto and Helen Paolucci.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Gilroy Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for the many years of care and support they provided and to Bonita Springs Hospice for treating Ron with compassion, respect and dignity.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Mama Mia's Mediterranean Italian Cuisine (275 E. Dunne Avenue, Morgan Hill) from 12-4:00pm.
