IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rolando Danieles
Quaile
August 6, 1951 – November 24, 2018
Rolando Danieles Quaile, also known as Roland, was born in Hiagsam Jaro, Leyte, Philippines to Richard and Macaria Quaile on August 6 th , 1951. He is one of fifteen siblings. At age twenty six, he decided to move to the United States in 1977. In 1990, he wed Lilia and in 1992, had his only son, Christopher. He spent 41 years working various blue-collar jobs as an assembler.
Roland loved the simple things in life and strayed from anything too extravagant. A hardworking man, he always put family first even if that meant not having the best for himself without complaint. Finding joy and laughter in the modest life he lived, he enjoyed nature, watching movies and above all, socializing. Always seen smiling, he gave the most positive energy towards those around him; whether it be making jokes or retelling countless encounters he had through memory.
In 2005, Roland's health problems began. As he aged, the list of medical conditions grew, but his soul did no falter, he would still laugh through it all and tread onwards. On October 23, 2018, he was hospitalized after almost suffering a heart attack and was later diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis alongside pneumonia. He spent two weeks at Regional Medical Center. At home, his health was declining and he gradually became weaker. The day after Thanksgiving, he suffered a stroke and was rushed back to the hospital. Invasive surgery was performed to remove the clot, but to no avail, he was put on life support. On November 24, 2018 at 7:45PM, Roland passed surrounded by love with his wife Lilia, son Christopher, his brothers/sisters, and nieces/nephews by his side.
