Rolando C. Lopez passed away on July 26 2018, surrounded by his loving family. The following Obituary was written in Rolando's own words.

Rolando was born on November 5, 1951 in Brownsville TX. Son of the late Antonio G. Lopez and Elodia Lopez. He attended Faulk Jr. High in Texas, and Graduated from Gilroy High School in 1971. He attended Gavilan College with a Degree in Administration of Justice.

As a young boy Rolando worked in the fields, picking fruit, thinning plants and loading crates. After Graduating from Gilroy High School, he worked for Gentry's and Gilroy Foods. Determined to give his Family a better life. Rolando worked for the Employment Development Dept., Santa Clara County Welfare Dept., and Police Officer for Morgan Hill, and Watsonville P.D.

Rolando retired November 2012, to enjoy life with his Family and pets.

Rolando was preceded in Death by his Mother, Elodia Lopez and Father Antonio G. Lopez. He is survived by his Sons, Rolando Lopez, Jr., Richard Lopez and Daughter Ronnica Lopez, and 8 Grandchildren.  Brothers, Francisco Lopez, Silverio Lopez (Ann), Edward Lopez (Emily), David Lopez (Evelyn), and Sister Irma Siqueiros (Art).

Services will be held on September 14 at 11 am, at Our Lady Chapel, at St Mary's Catholic Church, 11 First St. Gilroy, CA. Interment following the Service.
