Robert Romero Valverde passed away unexpectedly in his home on August 13th, 2022 in Gilroy, California at the age of 87.

Robert was born on November 5th, 1934 to the late Raul and Ramona Valverde. He was immersed into the Catholic Community that would be his lifelong support at an early age. He immigrated from Sinaloa, Mexico to Yuma, Arizona where he met the love of his life, Charlotte Castañeda.

At 19 years old Robert came to the United States with a third grade education. He started working in Agriculture following it all the way to Gilroy, California. He then started working for Gentry, then went back to school with the help of his wife to better support his family. He retired at the age of 62. Robert also owned a catering truck for many years running it with his family and friends. Robert also owned with his brothers Seis Hermanos Restaurant. Robert has done amazing things in the Gilroy Community.

Robert started attending the gym after retiring. He loved to keep himself healthy and take very good care of his diet. He loved to spend his Sunday's at church where he served hospitality for over 50 years. Robert loved to have his family and friends over for BBQ's and have his family close for the holidays. He loved to sing and dance, he was always the life of the party. Robert was known to be a jokester and have a flirtatious personality. He was kind hearted and always loved to talk about his younger days.

Robert is survived by his son Robert Jr. and daughters Leticia, Elisa, Carla and Victoria; his grand children Daniel, Jordan, Bianca, Jared, Robert, and Leonardo; and his great grand daughter Lilith Rose. Also survived by his brothers Oscar, Ramon, Gonzalo and Armando Valverde; and his beloved sister in laws, grand daughter in law, and countless nieces and nephews. He loved everyone around him till his last breathe.

Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife Charolette Castañeda, his brother Octavio Valverde, and his parents Raul and Ramona Valverde.

Robert will be dearly missed by everyone! We love you Viejon!
