Gilroy Native Robert Martinez passed away in his home in Milpitas, Ca. Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Angelica Martinez, sister Mary M. Castaneda, and brother Richard Martinez. He attended Eliot elementary, Brownell Middle School, and graduated from Gilroy High School class of 1960. In March of 1964 he was drafted and served 2 years in the army. Postier to his service he worked for Santa Clara county as a park ranger and retired from Levin County Park in Milpitas, California. Bobby and Angie had many hobbies including traveling, camping, playing bingo, playing with his dogs, as well as Bobby's famous chili. Bobby was well known for his humorous personality, practical jokes and his unconditional love for his family and friends. He is survived by his sister Linda (Joe) Perez of Gilroy, aunt Gloria Gilmore of Calwa, California, along with many nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Rosary will be held at Habing Funeral Home on Monday September 27th @ 7:00 p.m. and mass will be on Tuesday September 28th @ 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church.
