Robert "Bobby" Armendariz passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18th, 2024, surrounded by his wife, daughters, and son.

Bobby served in the Army between 1971-1973 and carried on his passion for service as Commander of VFW Post 6309, American Legion Post 217 and was a member of the Honor Guard. Bobby's love for service and giving back to his community came in many forms. Serving as a member of Gilroy Little League, Parent Club Member for the schools his children attended, President of Gilroy High Band & Colorguard Booster, Active Union Rep and many others. An avid fisherman both lake and deep sea, Bobby loved spending time outdoors. His love for baseball and football (he was a faithful A's & 49er fan) lived strong in his heart which he shared with his children and deeply rooted this love in his grandchildren.

Bobby had a green thumb that nourished his backyard home with many trees and plants he grew from pits. Peach, Nectarine, Fig and Apricot trees along with his beloved vegetable garden grew in abundance. Bobby was a loving husband to Lucy for 52 years. Together they built a loving home for their children. Bobby's greatest joy in life was his grandchildren R.J, Blake, Treyden, Jack, Xander, Cambria and Cleofas.

Bobby is proceeded in death by his siblings Gilbert, Juanita, Jack, Mingo, Patricia, Pedro, Mary and Virginia. He leaves behind his wife Lucy Armendariz, daughters Selina Armendariz-Roberto (Rocky), Melissa Armendariz (Lav), Robert Armendariz (Firl) and siblings Sally Gonzalez, Teresa O'Neil, Beatrice Mitchelle, Jimmy Armendariz and Rosa Guevara.
