Richard Tetsuo ("Tach") Kobashi, 74, of Gilroy, California, beloved husband and best friend of Herlinda (Linda) Kobashi for 47 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 19, 2016 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. He is now at rest with his parents, Phillip and Sakaye Kobashi, his sister, Rose (Saito), his grandson, JR (Adams), and his nephew, Todd. He is remembered with love by his devoted wife, Linda, his two daughters, Elizabeth and Michelle, his grandchildren, Madison, Kaia, Quillan, and Sebrina, his brothers, Arthur and Isao, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Richard will always be remembered for his one of a kind smile which had the ability to warm hearts and brighten days. He loved fishing, skeet shooting, wine, good food, and spending time with his family and friends. He was strong, intelligent, honorable, kind, loving, funny, had a calming presence, and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was an amazing human being. A man who touched the heart of everyone he met. He was simply……THE BEST. Richard, we have not lost you. You have become part of each and every one of us.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Gavilan College Theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd, Gilroy, CA.
