RICHARD J. FREITAS, 81, of Gilroy passed away at his home on Thursday, January 5 2012.
Husband of Patricia Freitas of Gilroy. Father of Paula Sadler (James) of Tigard, OR, Lynn Freitas (John) of Salem, OR, Cheryl Heras (Heleodoro) of Tacoma, WA, Mark Freitas (Devon) of Eureka, CA and Susan Sturms (Jim) of Seattle, WA. Grandfather of Delores and Tobias Freitas of Eureka, Cameron Sadler of Tigard and Carter Sturms of Seattle. Preceded in death by his brother and wife, Robert and June Freitas and his parents, Joseph and Verna Freitas.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked as an Emergency Services Dispatcher 26 years for the County of Santa Clara. His interests included Birding, Gardening, Photography, Playing Guitar and Woodworking.
Graveside Services Thursday, January 12, 2012 – 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
