Richard Allen Diaz passed away peacefully at the age of 44 on March 6, 2012, surrounded by the love of his family at his home in Gilroy, CA. Richard was born in the Seychelles Islands to Joseph and Cynthia Diaz and grew up in Sunnyvale, CA.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Kaela (Doreen) Eden; his mother, Cynthia Diaz; his brother, Robert (Norma) Diaz; his sister, Sharon (Noel) Temores; his nieces: Eryka, Giovana, Tori, and Bella; and his nephews: Junior and Mateo, all of Gilroy, CA.

Predeceased by his father, Joseph Richard Diaz of Bellingham, WA. A service for Richard will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. at the Habing Family Funeral Home located at 129 Fourth Street in Gilroy, 95020. There will be a "Celebration of Life" following the service at Fortino Winery located at 4525 Hecker Pass Hwy in Gilroy, 95020.

Rich will be greatly missed by many. Our island boy has returned to paradise.
