Richard Christopher Beyer, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born on November 22, 1951 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Richard moved to California at the age of 21, eventually settling in Gilroy, where he made his home.

Richard had a deep love for the outdoors—he found joy in backpacking, camping, and spending time in nature. His adventurous spirit and appreciation for life's simple pleasures were an inspiration to all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria; his daughters, Angelica and Rebecca; his brother, Andy; and his sisters, Renee, Cindy, Amy, and Connie. He also leaves behind many cherished relatives and lifelong friends — as well as his beloved dog, Nala, who misses him dearly and was never far from his side. He is preceded by his father, Richard G. Beyer; mother, Ruth Ann Fleckenstein Beyer; and his brother Norbert H. Beyer.

Richard will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, unwavering dedication and selflessness to those he loved.
