IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rebecca Ann
Mcloughlin
July 1, 1953 – November 18, 2019
Rebecca Ann McLoughlin, 66, of Gilroy, California, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, November 18, 2019. She was born on July 1, 1953 in Gilroy and raised in Morgan Hill. Becki graduated from Live Oak High School in 1971. She married her best friend Vincent McLoughlin on July 19, 2008.
Becki worked for many years at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy and St. Catherine Catholic Church in Morgan Hill. She loved music more than anything and spent many years playing in various bands and groups. She loved playing music at church and teaching music in schools, where she directed many choirs and helped to produce school music programs, such as the annual Advent pageant. Her musical legacy will live on through many young, local musicians whose careers began with her as their teacher. She loved to travel and spend time with her children and her grandson. She was always happy spending time with her husband Vinny whether it was biking, dancing or traveling domestically or abroad. Many of her hours were spent dancing and tapping in various recitals for Lana's Dance Studio, attending yoga classes, and enjoying her Monday Movie Nights. She loved her friends dearly and enjoyed the time they spent wine tasting at local wineries and restaurants. She enjoyed relaxing with a good book or a terrible romance novel. Most of all she loved God and loved serving the Church.
She was predeceased by her father and mother Manny and Nicki Galvan. She is survived by her husband, Vincent McLoughlin; daughter, Kelly Campanella; son, Jeran Campanella (Melissa); and grandson, Corey Sturges. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Galvan (Stephanie); sister, Lisa Kellett (Will); her nieces and nephews, Alyssa McGarva (Eli), Nick Galvan (Alexandra), Cameron Brum, Jackie Galvan, Franchesca Kellett, John Kellett, and Cori Kellett. She also leaves behind many cousins and extended family, both here and in Ireland, and more friends than anyone could count.
