Rebeca Fregoso Haro, 82, of Gilroy, was born on November 9th 1939, in San Martin de Bolanos, Jalisco, Mexico. She is survived by her sons Rafael and Fernando Haro, daughter Rebecca Cortes, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Brothers Cuauthemoc Fregoso, Miguel Fregoso, and Juan Fregoso.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ruben Haro, daughters Martha Velasquez and Bertha Haro, and sister Maria Xotchil Fregoso.
Rebeca moved to Gilroy in the early 1960s and worked at the Gilroy Cannery for several years before working and retiring from Christopher Ranch. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Rebeca. She spent her retirement years helping raise her grandchildren. She loved cooking delicious meals for her family, friends, and neighbors. Some of her favorite activities were talking on the phone with her friends and loved ones, going to the casino, and watching soccer and football games.
Rebeca was a devout Catholic member of Saint Mary Parish in Gilroy. Rebeca's legacy will continue through her acts of kindness and generosity to the less fortunate and her willingness to help those who needed it the most.
