Raul Joseph Delgado, passed away peacefully in Hollister, California, surrounded by his loving family on April 8, 2023.  He was born on February 17, 1968 in Ventura, California and grew up in San Jose, California. In 1983 he met Connie Martinez and in 1989 they married. Together they raised 3 children: Rachelle (Izack), Raul (Brittany) and Ray and lived in Hollister for the past 26 years.

Raul was the loving son of Bob Delgado and Gloria Delgado.  He was also the loving and doting "Papa" of his eight grandchildren: Greg, Roman, Andre, Olivia, Inez, Aubree, Savannah and Alonzo.

Raul is also survived by his devoted brothers, Bobby, Rick , and Ron (Monica) Delgado, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.  He is also survived by his good friends Christine Menzel and Dave Malone who he considered family.

He was preceded in death by his loving Mother, Gloria, Grandparents Mike and Inez Viramontes, his beloved "Papa" Rudy Delgado and Uncles Rudy and Steve Delgado.

Raul was a skilled laborer and worked in the trade for over 30 years. He was a member of Laborer's Union Local 270 and was grateful to his Uncle Sam Martinez for showing him the trade.

Raul was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and enjoyed spending time with his kids at the games. He was also an excellent cook and loved cooking elaborate meals for his family.  He was the happiest having his kids and grandchildren at the house for the holidays and family barbeques.

Because of Raul's big heart he had many friends and he enjoyed hanging out with them.  He also enjoyed riding his Road King Harley with friends and was a lover of music, especially Blues, Jazz and Rock.  He enjoyed many concerts and traveling with his wife and cousins Linda, Lisa & Leslie Delgado.  He had a special bond with his cousins Jack and Menito Mendez and enjoyed visiting with them and their extended family in Santa Paula for many family gatherings.

Raul will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  His legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren, who will cherish his memory.  Raul is at peace, reunited with his loving Mom.
