Born in Texas, raised in Lemoore, and settled in Gilroy. Joe worked in car sales and real estate in our community. He loved working with people and helping those in need. He was a brave fighter throughout his illness and God heard his cries, blessing him and his family.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo and Geronima Cavazos; brothers Luis and his wife Carmen and Rodrigo Cavazos and sister Ofelia Perez. Brother of Adolfo (Eloise) Cavazos, Robert (Martha) Cavazos, and Cruz Perez. Survived by his children Becky Cavazos, Justine (Senad) Kadric, Jovita Cavazos, and Ramiro J. (Jacqueline) Cavazos; grandfather of Brina, Aisa, Michael, Samantha, Phoebe, Ramiro, Brittany, Serina, Jacob, and Nicolas as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe also leaves his wife Nellie and her family Rafaela (Arnold) Cesena, Jenny (Rick) Elias, Sally (Gene) Towner, Raul (Mercy) Sermeno, Andi (Rigo) Flores, Rudy (Lisa) Sermeno, Sonia, Sara, JJ, and Luis. Wonderful friends Mary Ann Sanchez, Jeannie Wenneberg, and Charlotte Burr and many others. He will be missed by all.
Viewing will begin 9am Monday, May 9 at Habing Family Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am at St.Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
