Phyllis Salgado 80, passed away at home on Friday, October 4, 2013.
Daughter of the late Nachito and Ruth Gamino.
Mother of Michael Salgado, Ophelia Pequeno and Patricia Granados all of Gilroy and the late Ernie and Raul Salgado. Grandmother of 22. Great-grandmother of 57. Great-great grandmother of 7.
Sister of Alfonso and Paul Gamino and Jennie Salgado all of Gilroy and the late Lucy Guzman(San Jose) and Leo Gamino (San Bernardino).
Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A native of Norwalk, CA. Moved to Gilroy in 1945 and has been a resident since.
Member of St. Mary's Church.
Vigil Thursday, October 10, 2013 – 7:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass Friday, October 11, 2013 – 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, Gilroy.
Entombment will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.
