IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phillip Louis
Gervasio
June 29, 1950 – June 20, 2018
A lifelong Gilroy resident, Phillip Louis Gervasio passed away June 20, 2018. He was 67. The eldest son of Louis and Frances Gervasio, he grew up attending St. Mary Parish and graduated from Gilroy High School. Phillip worked for many years in heating and air conditioning, before retiring. He was always mechanically inclined, and as a teen and young adult he often tinkered on cars outside his mother's home on Rosanna Street. Well into adulthood, he would often help his family members with minor car repairs, saving a costly trip to a mechanic. Phillip's nieces and nephews recall him as a happy person who always had a smile on his face. He was known for his sweet tooth, and after family get-togethers leftover pie, cakes or other desserts were often sent home for him.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents and his youngest son Isaac Gervasio. He is survived by his eldest son Alfred Gervasio; his siblings Kathleen Hart, Lucille Cameron, Josephine Potter, David Gervasio, and Victoria (Richard) Flores; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held June 29, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Parish Chapel.
