Philip William Quast, 85, passed away on February 9th, 2023.

Philip was born on November 28th, 1937 to William and Ursula Quast in San Francisco, CA. After he graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory in 1956, Philip attended Santa Clara University for a year. He was later drafted by the Army from 1961 to 1963, where he earned a rank of E-5.

After being Honorably Discharged, Philip attended Washington State University's College of Pharmacy, earning his Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1971. In 1976 he settled in Gilroy, CA to begin a 42-year-long career as a pharmacist until he retired.

Philip  was a dedicated member and officer of the Gilroy Elks Lodge for 40 years where he worked tirelessly with and for the community.

Philip was predeceased by parents William and Ursula Quast; brothers Michael Quast and Dennis Quast; and Joan Quast, wife of Patrick Quast. He is survived by daughters Dianne Eidson, Dennise Tohm and her husband, Todd Tohm, grandchildren, Ashley and David Tohm, David and Connie Quast, Patrick Quast, Daniel Quast, Terrence and Jackie Quast, Timothy and Linda Quast, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at St. Mary Parish at 9:45AM on Friday, March 17th, 2023.
