It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Philip Hernandez, 76, on November 28, 2019 due to his long fought battle with  heart disease. Phil was born in Santa Barbara, CA and raised in Gilroy, CA.  He was the oldest child to Cristina and Mike Hernandez.  He was survived by brother Mike Hernandez and arrives home to be with his sister Judy Ornelas and brother Jimmy Hernandez in death.

Phil parts with his wife Patricia Hernandez, and leaves behind his five children, thirteen grandchildren, ten Great grandchildren, and one Great Great grandson, as well as nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Philip spent his life in career as a Correctional Officer at the Hollister Sheriff Department and had a love for fishing, football, the great outdoors, and holidays with his family.

Phil had a special bond with each of his family members, that will not be broken in death, and will continue to live on in our hearts forever.
