Peter Garcia passed away May 5, 2016 after a long illness, Pete was 94 years old. He was a Gilroy native and long-time farmer of prunes, apricots, and cherries. Pete served in the army during World War II.
Pete was an avid fisherman and loved traveling with Angela to many places in the world. He was a member of the Elks and VFW.

Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Garcia, his brother Manuel Garcia, and his parents, Lorenzo and Gabriella Garcia.
Pete is survived by his sons, Peter (Loretta) Garcia Jr, Raymond (Carole) Garcia, step children John (Teddie) Gasper, Geraldine (Doug) Bennett, and Gail (Joe) Fuller, his siblings, Phyllis Patane, Francis Bozzo and Tony Garcia. In addition, he had 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
