Peter Alphonso Faldetta, 65 of San Jose, California, passed away on October 28, 2016. Peter (who preferred to be called Pete) was born in San Francisco, CA on July 11, 1951. He graduated from Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA in 1969.

Pete worked as a mechanical engineer for Dysan Corporation, where he eventually quit his job and sold his home to build a submersible for salvage, rescue and pipeline inspections in the Bay Area.  He also worked as a mechanical engineer for Seagate and later in the IT Department for Northrop Grumman.

He had a passion for building RC airplanes, electronics, computers and high power lasers. His lifelong dream, however, was to complete the renovations on his boat (former actor William Powell's yacht) and sail throughout the coasts of California and Mexico.

Pete is survived by his mother, Rose Faldetta; sisters, Francine Moblad and Joeanne Christianson; brother, John Faldetta and many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Pete is preceded in death by his father, Peter Anthony Faldetta.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Pete's life will be held at the South Bay Yacht Club, 1491 Hope Street, Alviso, Ca, 95002 on November 19 ^th at 3:00 p.m.
