The family of Peter Ciccarelli is saddened to announce his sudden death at the age of 60 on Nov. 16, 2013.
Peter was born in Buffalo, N.Y., to Joseph and Bee Ciccarelli and raised in El Paso, Texas. He moved to Salinas in 1977, where he became general manager of the Salinas Angels ballclub and met Connie Wermuth, his wife of 36 years. Early in has career, Peter was a sports writer, syndicated columnist for Scripps Howard Newspapers and agent for Major League Baseball players.
When he relocated to Capitola in 1986, Peter used his promotional skills to become one of the most respected marketing and PR personalities in Northern California.
Peter, a devout Catholic, is survived by his loving wife, Connie, and daughter, Amanda, of Capitola, mother, Bee Trawle, of Live Oak, brother, Michael, of Huntington Beach, and uncle Ferdinand of Buffalo.
Memorial Mass will be held December 3, 2013 - 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 435 Monterey Ave., Capitola, where Peter was a parishioner.
