Paul was born in Santa Barbara, CA on October 9, 1934. At the age of 7, he moved to Gilroy with his parents Agapito and Charlotte Alatorre along with his brothers and sisters Barbara Arias, Peter L. Alatorre, Jimmy R. Alatorre, Richard J. Alatorre, Henry S. Alatorre, Amelia C. Gamino and Stanley Alatorre.

He served in the military and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1959.

Paul married in 1956 to Patricia A. McFarland and was blessed with 3 children Paul A. Alatorre II, Pamela L. Alatorre and Mark A. Alatorre. After 17 years of marriage he lost his wife to cancer.
He remarried in 1976 to Frances D. Robertson and was blessed with his stepchildren Daniel Leonardi, Pamela Leonardi, Richard Robertson Alatorre and Mitchel Alatorre.

Paul raised his family as a transport engineer and retired after 50 years in his profession.

Throughout the years he suffered the loss of two sons, his first born Paul A. Alatorre II and his stepson Daniel Leonardi. He also mourned the loss of his parents and 6 siblings.

In 1996 he relocated to Los Banos, CA and after 33 years of marriage he suffered the loss of his second wife, Frances, due to cancer.
In June 2012 Paul was diagnosed with cancer. At the age of 79, he passed in the comfort of his home with his loving family.

Paul is survived by his daughter Pamela A. Alatorre, son Mark A. Alatorre and stepchildren Pamela Leonardi, Richard Robertson Alatorre and Mitch Alatorre, sister Amelia C. Gamino, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered as a hardworking, loving, caring and a man of his word. He will be missed dearly and will forever be in our hearts.
