Pat was married to Paul F. Matulich, the love of her life, for 44 years before his passing in 1997.

She was born in Sacramento and grew up in San Francisco during WWII. She attended Lowell High School and then San Francisco State College (now University), graduating with a B.A. in Education. Years later, she would go on to achieve an M.A. from San Jose State.

Pat taught elementary grades for 50 years, mostly in Gilroy schools, until retiring in 1991. She then worked with the GUSD Independent Home Study Program until March 2003 when ill health forced her to retire for a second time.

She loved to read, go to antique shows, and visit dear friends with her husband Paul.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Chi and the Theta Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society.

She leaves behind her two sisters, Alberta "Bertie" Aufdermauer of Minden, Nevada and Gloria Anika of Gilroy; nieces, Linda Renz of Hollister, Rosie Ortiz of Alexandria, Virginia, Linda Matulich of Los Gatos, Cynthia Limon of Turlock, Michelle Bartee of Minden, Nevada; nephews, Joseph Anika of San Jose, Paul Matulich of Los Gatos, Mark Matulich of Los Gatos, Nick Matulich of Stockton, Jim Forester of San Ramon, and John Forester of Sunnyvale; along with numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Pat and the family are very grateful to her very sweet caregiver, Divina Tayson.
