Patricia Jean Hershberger passed away peacefully at home on Christmas day, ending her struggle with cancer. She engaged life to the fullest extent possible, and that approach touched those whose paths crossed hers.

Patricia grew up in Fresno, CA., graduated from McLane High School, then attended Fresno City College. After marriage to Donald Hershberger in 1969, she was a stay at home mother for son Jonathan. She had a varied and fruitful work career as a real estate broker, customer support supervisor for ATT, and case manager for child support services in Santa Cruz. Her interests included flower gardening, entertaining, home decorating, movies, and travel. Her favorite trips took her to Sweden to experience her Swedish heritage and to Rome and Paris for the art and history.

Patricia is survived by husband Donald Hershberger, son Jonathan Hershberger, and mother Eva Jean Pearson of Fresno, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, John Pearson.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, January 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th Street, Gilroy, CA. A reception will follow at the Eagle Ridge HOA Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a donation be made to a favorite charity, or to Central Coast VNA Hospice Care (www.ccvna.com designate Hospice care).
