Patty passed away on February 2, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Patty was born and raised in Oregon and moved with her family to Hollister in 1966. Patty worked for Gavilan College in the Aviation Dept. located at the Hollister Airport. Although her responsibilities were administrative she grew to love aviation and the many Airframe & Power Plant and Flight Training students that passed through these programs. Later in her career she became an FAA examiner for private pilot licensees. She was a prolific reader and had a wide range of interests.

Patricia is survived by her husband James Scardino, Children Aaron (Gina) Colton, Julie (Roger) Britt, Kevin (Alice) Colton, Carrie Cota. Loving Grandmother to Daniel, Tyler and Brad Britt, Garrett, Zachary and Ryan Colton, Andrew Colton, Ashley (Daniel) Colbert, Lindsey (Hugo) Lopez, Corey and Jaron Cota, and Great grandmother to Mason Britt. Preceded in death by Rubin Cota (son in law).

Friends and family are in invited to a Memorial Service on February 7, 2018 (5:30 to 6:30) at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy, CA
